My 3 1/2 year old son is a few pages away from completing the reading lesson and loves to read. At bedtime, we read two books to him and he reads one back to us. This is great, except I can't figure out what to do with him about kindergarten where most students are just learning to read. He won't be attending kindergarten until two falls from now, which by then I imagine he'll be a superb reader. I'm thinking of putting him in a private school which specializes in accelerated learning that has individualized study plans so that he can learn at his own pace.
But, then I think about him missing out on our local community school. Also, I think my child is smart but I don't think he is a rocket scientist. I think he is reading because he has good focus and the Reading Lesson is a superior product. Would I be pushing him too much to put him in such a private school?
What do parents do with early learners?

Just wondering if you have considered homeschooling him and if that is even an option for you?
